This note is to inform you that on March 1st, 2024, Nourishing Hope will institute changes to the catering program on the National Medical Center Campus.
Effective March 1st the following catering program changes will be implemented:
1. Participants and/or Meeting Size
Events with less than 6 participants will no longer be catered by Nourishing Hope. The following options are available for obtaining food and/or beverages for these meetings:a. Items can be ordered from the regular retail menu via the website link for pick-up. The pick-up time can be selected, and the food can be retrieved from the pick-up window inside the City Café.
b. A reservation can be made at 1913 Restaurant Indicate this reservation if for a meeting https://1913restaurantbar.com/reservations/ . To guarantee prompt service and a maximum in-restaurant time (1 hour 10 minutes) to ensure conformity to a meeting time please pre-order for all guests using this restaurant order form
Events for 6 or more please continue to use Catertrax for the request.
To prepare for each guest, we request that you guarantee the number of guests attending your event at least 48 hours in advance for a guest count under 50, 72 hour notice will be required for a guest count over 50.
We request that you provide 48 hours advance notice for all catered services. As always, we will work with you to find solutions for your last-minute needs. Catering orders with less than 24 hours’ notice will be based on product and staff availability, and may include a service charge.
We know that at times you may need to cancel an event with short notice. Please notify us 24 hours in advance to avoid any cancellation fees due to advance preparation.
All Items are priced on a per person basis unless otherwise noted and prices do not include sales tax. All services include disposable dishware, unless China service is requested. China service is available for an additional $12.00 per person plus set up fee. Additional charges apply for special request items like flowers, rentals, service staff, or special menu items.
We will bill all events with an approved cost center number. If a department’s chart string is invalid, they have 48 hours prior to the delivery date of their pending order to give us an updated chart string number. We also accept cash, checks, and major credit cards. Cash and credit payments for service are due on the date of your event. Checks should be made out to City of Hope Catering Services. Outside vendors may require a 50% deposit prior to the event date.
Thank you for your catering order. City of Hope catering services must recover all catering equipment at the scheduled pick-up times. If any equipment is removed from the delivery location, please notify the catering department of the new location at Ext. 82541. If equipment gets relocated without notifying the catering department, a service fee will be added to your order. Any catering equipment that is not recovered will be billed to your order.
We would be happy to service your event after our catering hours of 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday. Please let us know how we can assist you. After hour events are subject to extra labor charges. We deliver to offsite locations with an included delivery fee to your order. Price ranges depending on distance and miles. Please keep in mind we no longer deliver hot food to off-site locations.
All orders are placed on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. Please pick up your order Monday-Friday 10am-2pm. Please bring a copy of your invoice, and a cart if needed. If your order has not been picked up in two weeks, it will be cancelled, and the items will be placed back in rotation.
